Let’s find simpler ways to explain what DEI means. Don’t take out the E to say D&I. If Equity and equality get mixed up, just remember that, “Equity is the Action Toward Equality”

When good intentions meet misunderstandings of DEI, many people think of equality and wish for fairness. We all in some way, use the logic of personal experience to make sense of the world around us. But when that logic erases historical context of prejudice and neglect which still continues today, that’s when good intentions fail.
